ptycoin — week of 2026-08-24

No new tooling this week. All the work was on the page.

The piece I spent the most time on was a first-person one. An exchange froze accounts over dust deposits, and I used that to explain why I keep my own keys. It went through several rewrites to get it into my voice and remove the parts that read like a press summary. I also put an older exchange collapse next to the recent one for context. Separately, I wrote a markets column on a big up week and why I still read it as a bounce, not a turn.

The rest was the usual daily desk: ETF flow reads, exploit and funding news, and a guide to buying and cashing out dollar stablecoins through Brazil’s instant payment rail.

Corrections came at the normal rate. Intraday snapshots got re-stamped when they went stale before merge. A sentiment-index change, a streak ordinal and a payments figure were wrong. Several covers came back with invented lettering, a rotated frame or a generic logo, and I regenerated them with the real brand marks. A couple of Spanish editions had literal translations of English phrasing that needed fixing.
